Drake's security guard, 48, has been rushed to hospital after being shot multiple times in the chest in a drive-by shooting near the rapper's $100 million mansion on Tuesday. It is unclear if the star was home at the time of the shooting. A suspect fled the scene in a vehicle, and reports indicate they are still at large. The incident unfolded in the upscale neighborhood of Bridle Path shortly after 2am after the victim was found badly injured in the street.

Friends of a pastor's wife who shot herself dead after claiming she was being abused by her husband have insisted she did not take her own life. Mica Miller, 30, was found dead at Lumbee River State Park, North Carolina, on April 27, weeks after speaking about abuse within her marriage to John-Paul Miller, 44. Her friends Kenn and Allicia Young insisted on NewsNation that Mica did not take her own life. Allicia Young, who is a member of the Solid Rock Church alongside her husband Kenn, said 'I absolutely do not believe that she took her own life.' The allegations come as it is revealed Horry County Police Department officer Nick D'Amocamtonio filed an incident report on March 11 which said: 'The victim advised me she was afraid for her life.'

Finance major James 'JP' Staples was named by the college chapter of the NAACP as the student who was filmed hopping from foot to foot and grunting like an ape at Jaylin Smith during an ugly clash on the college's Oxford campus. Staples, 21, was expelled from a college fraternity on Friday as it condemned 'racist actions antithetical to the values of Phi Delta Theta and the Mississippi Alpha chapter'. But black students are demanding he be stripped of his college place, along with two Kappa Alpha fraternity members who they accuse of also racially abusing protesters. 'Those students who publicly hurled atrocious and racist rhetoric as well as exhibited disgusting and offensive behavior, NEED to be expelled from this university,' wrote NAACP chapter president Megan Curry. 'I said what I said, and I mean it. TRULY.'

Prince Harry will not meet his father King Charles III during his trip to Britain because of the monarch's 'full programme', but insisted that he 'hopes to see him soon'. U.S. News and World Report released its list of the top 10 'Best States' for 2024 - but the results may infuriate readers. The results were based on the average of three years of data from recent national surveys that asked nearly 70,000 people total to prioritize subjects such as public safety, crime and more in their home state. Some categories were assigned more value than others. Health care and education were weighted most heavily, followed by state economies, infrastructure, and opportunity.

A mother who threw her disabled six-year-old son into a crocodile-infested river where he was mauled to death by reptiles has now blamed her husband, claiming he goaded her into it.  Savitri Kumar, 32, from Uttara Kannada, a district in the western Indian state of Karnataka, had a heated argument with the boy's father, Ravi Kumar, 27, who repeatedly ordered her to 'throw the child away', the Times of India reports.  Police say her husband allegedly questioned her decision to give birth to Vinod, who was born deaf and mute.

Medics revealed she was suffering from Stevens-Johnson Syndrome (SJS) and placed her in an induced coma.

Tiffany Henyard, 40, slammed her city colleagues in a scathing response to their move against her, telling them there is a 'right way to do things and this is not that' as she made her veto. The Mayor of Dolton erupted in a furious rant on Monday evening as she shot down the probe, telling her colleagues at a city council meeting: 'How dare you!' The city council meeting was met with extra police security and protests over Henyard's recent controversies, and was the first since federal investigators served subpoenas on city hall. The subpoenas are seeking documents from Henyard and Dolton Village Administrator Keith Freeman related to expenses reimbursements and trips allegedly paid for by the city. After trustees voted to hire Lightfoot for $400 an hour to investigate, Henyard rejected the move, telling the city council meeting: 'You know, it's veto power, so how dare you think you can come into someone's town and do work.' 'There is a right way to do things, and this is just not that,' she said. '(Lightfoot) will not be paid for her services.'

An 18-year-old boy narrowly escaped with his life after plunging 30 feet inside an abandoned nuclear missile silo (left) near Deer Trail on Sunday. The boy was among a group of eight teens whose midnight adventure went drastically wrong when they became trapped inside after he stumbled down an 'elevator shaft' like drop. Rescuers launched a treacherous mission to save him, managing to airlift the boy to safety at around 8.30am. At least one person has already been hit with trespassing charges with possibly more to follow.

Lauren Lee and Cassie Aran, of Florida, set about making the drive from Jacksonville to Key West in Freddo's 'Rocket' convertible model, branded as the 'world's fastest' two-seat toy cars - with Lauren riding a blue version, and Cassie in a red one. NEOM, which is behind the project and is the brainchild of ruler Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, claims the 106-mile metropolis will 'redefine liveability' and 'transform how we live​'. But critics have said the grand plan is unfeasible, with a Bloomberg report last month suggesting it's length will be reduced by 98 per cent to just one-and-a-half miles and will be home to just 300,000 people by 2030, rather than 1.5 million. So when a cruise ship sails towards its concealed entrance, it appears to vanish from a certain angle, with little explanation available as to what purpose the futuristic marina would serve or how it will be accessed.

The minute-long video tells the rest, and how ESU detectives worked together with a system of ropes and pulleys to get the woman on solid ground.
